Natasha came for a ‘Mummy MOT’ after having her daughter as she was keen to return to triathlon training safely.
Natasha was given a full assessment including checking her breathing, postural alignment, tummy muscles, and pelvic floor. She had pelvic floor weakness which was to be expected post delivery but no other issues.
As she was hoping to re-start exercise again she was given stage one exercises from the Mummy MOT programme to start strengthening her core. Once she was ready to move on, she started seeing Nicki Ryder, a personal trainer who specialises in postnatal recovery. She has helped her with a graded return to high level exercise whilst looking after her pelvic floor.
Natasha says:
‘Louise gave me the confidence to get back into my exercise routine. I couldn’t wait to start exercising again but had heard all these horror stories about wrecking your body if you go back too soon after having a baby. I was really impatient so when Louise got me started and then recommended Nicki I was really relieved. They are so knowledgeable. I’m feeling so strong and confident now and fit! What a great team!’
